| Automated Migration Testing Services In addition to providing
specialized automated testing software, 2000 Technologies will utilize
the software to test the results of projects conducted by other vendors.
In this "set a thief to catch a thief" approach, 2000 Technologies
staff will utilize our knowledge of how automated, semi-automated and
manual migration projects actually work in practice to ensure the absolute
functional equivalence of the delivered programs.
Key Benefits
-
Testing is fully independent
of the vendor delivering the migration project.
-
The technicians performing
the testing are as experienced in migration work as the vendor, so no
opportunity will be allowed for discrepancies to slip through.
-
Critical staff need only be
minimally involved in the project, and they do not need to spend their time
climbing a learning curve on the unique characteristics of testing these
kinds of project, only to use that knowledge once.
Capabilities and Experience
2000 Technologies has decades of experience on projects migrating from one
platform to another, from one of the many dialects of COBOL to another, from one
of several platforms or databases, or from assembler or a 4GL to COBOL. In
addition, the Test Harness software has been qualified on a number of platforms,
and is readily extensible to new environments.
